We
offer the following services to people who experience
mental ill health:
Welcome to Residential
Support - Housing and Recovery Services
WALSH
Trust currently provides housing and recovery services
to up to 46 people. The aim of these services is
to provide a safe and supportive home-like environment
that
is conducive to preparing people for independent
living, while at the same time responding to their
individual support needs. To this end, the services
replicate so far as is possible the realities,
responsibilities and obligations of community living.
Services are offered to assist residents to develop
and practice general, social and domestic living
skills which can support successful social integration.
Services may include:

Self-determination

Adult
continuing education

Budgeting
-
Independent
living skills
In
addition, a specialist and totally individualised
service is available to assist clients through
the process, bureaucracies and occasionally, anxieties
which can be complicated moving in from residential
services. These services offer six West Auckland
and one Central Auckland residential support properties.
